Sparklebration when again be held in Dade City this Fourth of July! A display of colorful fireworks will light upthe sky Saturday at the Pasco County Fairgrounds.
There will be several contests, including watermelon, hot dog and apple pie-eating contests. There will be an Elvis impersonator, a band, magician, a face-painting clown, a balloon artist and a stilt walker, along with a petting zoo, pony rides and bounce houses.
Gates open at 4 p.m. Saturday, with the fireworks slated to begin at 9:15 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults and free for children 10 and younger. Parking is $5. No alcohol, pets, coolers, food items or personal fireworks will be allowed.
About 5 p.m., parachutists from Skydive City, carrying an American flag, will drop in on Sparklebration.
Fritzy Brothers One-Man Circus will be entertaining this year's crowd. The unicyclist and stilt walker does a variety of tricks.
Magician Steven Marcus will perform shows at 6:30 and 8:35 p.m. in the auditorium. Dan Story and Sez Who, a country music band, will play at 6:40 and 8:20 p.m.
Good old American style food will be plentiful, including corn dogs, cotton candy, candy apples, kettle corn, lemonade ice cream, Italian ice, Philly steaks, malts and ice cream floats, fried chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs
